Second unit I’ve purchased. First displayed Err message right away. Ordered a second, worked on trial fit, dead on installation. Yes I checked connections/fuses/direct connection to battery (correct polarity) - still dead. Better to pay the extra for a higher quality item.

Works fine now . But after inst did NOT work checked for problem found pins in extension wire had not been properly installed .

Installed on 2016 Yamaha FX Cr. SVHO to monitor engine cooling temp. Installed on a Thermostat hose on the block head, with their 22mm hose adaptor. The T-Stat hose is 20 mm ID, so 22 mm adapter is good for that.Wired + Positive to 3amp fuse that feeds Bilge pump and the - Neg. engine block bolt.Works well, as i checked the sensor Temp reading before installing and it reads correct temps.The only problem is that wires are way to short, i had to extend and lucky i found shielded wire so it was doable. But had to solder and install heat shrink tubing as well so it took an extra effort to make it right. Display is bright enough to see in the Sun. Reacts quickly to Temp changes. So far only used it for one ride (3hrs) hope it lasts long time.
