This is very heavy duty, and looks to be a quality item. It will be much better and stronger than the OEM plastic water inlets that RV's come with.

Don't expect this to fit your garden hose because the wrong thread size is listed. You'll end up getting something that you will not even be able to use. Do not order if you are in the United states.

The heavy-duty feel is sturdy; sadly, it's the wrong fit for the hose.

This all-metal inlet is well made. It’s cast metal that has been machined. There is a plastic check valve inside, and while I haven’t tried disassembling the inlet it looks like the check valve might be replaceable. The metal cap fits tightly into the inlet and with the strainer gasket installed it seals. Hardware for installation is included and two more strainer gaskets.

I ordered this Kefly all metal RV freshwater connection to replace my original one, which is close to 15 years old. Upon receiving it I was thrilled about the build quality, and it looked like it would be very easy to tighten by hand, with the large knurled knob.I removed my old one and installed this one, with some butyl tape behind it, and it looked great. However, this is where I ran into a problem. I tried putting my RV drinking water hose on and it would only thread in about a half turn. So I tried another hose, then another hose, and none would fit. It turns out that the unit I received does not have a GHT thread (garden hose thread) which is standard in America, and in many other nations. In doing some research I discovered it's probably the European standard like BSP, and there's another standard or two used across the world for hose threads. I posted one picture with the blue hose on the left, which is the standard in America, and the metal plug of this unit on the right, and you can see it is a finer thread.Digging around in my plumbing parts I found a 3/4" NPT to 3/4" GHT adapter, and the NPT side ended up fitting into this inlet. Using that adapter I was able to connect a garden hose, so I tested it. It works fine, and the check valve does work as well. However because I don't want to use adapters, and because this unit was advertised as having GHT threads, I'll just store this with the adapter as a spare in case of emergency, and order another brand unit that actually has GHT threads. ââ
