It's a great size, the pick is perfect for breaking up hard ground and making sharp cuts along a specific path.I used it to clear some ground during the hard winter freeze to get the chicken house door open. The ground had frozen and swollen due to low temps and I needed to get into the chicken house for chores.It's also good for breaking up clay ground for various digging and gardening chores.The only thing to watch out for is that you are close enough to the blade that when you swing it, you can throw dirt right up into your face- safety glasses help.It's been strong, digs well and the little handle stays right where you put it.Very nice! I won't ever go without one again!

The head slips off, so that is a danger. It is effective in breaking up rough rocky terrain. I used it to dig holes in the desert to plant cacti. It got through the rocks et al, where a trowel and shovel could not.

I use this to get the bulk of the digging done for a latrine and fire pit when camping. This tool allows me to go nuts swinging and digging up the large jagged rocks and thick clay that I then can easily remove with my E-Tool. Helps make the life of the E-Tool last longer and easier on me when most of the ground is broken up and dug into.

I was worried the 15 inch would be way too small so I bought this and it is just about perfect. Compact but beefy, it is good for metal detecting and probably gardening. I would recommend it.

Found this online after our big box store stopped stocking them (under a diff brand). These are light and great for weeding as a contractor. Many clients used to buy one when they saw how we use them. Absaloute great tool.
