The bulbs are bright and draw bugs to it. Even small gnats are attracted and mosquitoes and flys. sprays are nasty and leave a residue! The tray where the dead flys and bugs land is easy to use and clean!

I ordered 3 sets of these t8 UV 13" bulbs in December 2020.When I went to use them in June 2021 only one bulb would work.I contacted the company and provided pictures and they sent 3 new sets of bulbs which are now working.Very good customer support from this company.It seems difficult for these fragile bulbs to make it through the USPS/UPS/Fed Ex delivery processes.

Barely installed these and turned the unit on, when it immediately began zapping bugs. I replaced old bulbs and plugged this in at around 9pm, and by 10pm it had already zapped about 12 bugs. My previous bulbs just didn't zap at the same rate, maybe once or twice every 3 - 5 hours indoors? Not these. I don't know what the main difference is with the different bulbs? But I could tell right away the new bulbs are definitely brighter. I gave this only 3 stars in the Noise Level category, because zapping bulbs are loud. They make a loud ZIP-POP sound that I'm sure you're familiar with. Sound is kind of a silly thing to review. You know it's doing its job when it zaps.

one light blub came out fine the other one never worked quality control. So I don't have safe bug control at the moment.

I’ve replace my bug zapper bulbs previously, and they were growing dim which equates to less attraction of insects, so I ordered these bulbs and they wouldn’t start, they didn’t even try. Reinstalling them made no diff, finally put the old bulbs in and they started immediately. 99% of the time the reason fluorescent bulbs won’t start is no mercury was added, which should be detected in production because the bulb couldn’t have started in the factory either. Save yourself the grief and choose name brand bulbs.

I use this product indoors. Once you get used to the “pop†it is reassuring that that is one fewer pests to deal with.
