I was hopeful, but I have the same experience as others already wrote. Only one input of the splitter works. I can plug either the mouse or the keyboard into that input, and it will work. However, the second input is dead. This cable does not work as advertised. Since the item seems to work for some people I suspect lackluster quality control.

I have some computers with only one ps/2 connector. This allows me to use both a keyboard and mouse. I also use these as an extension.

This Keyboard/Mouse PS/2 cable DID work. The first time neither keyboard nor cable worked even though I had them aligned with the labels on the cable. I turned off the system and swapped keyboard and mouse - opposite of labels on the splitter and it worked fine. Just wanted to post in case anyone else runs into this.TL;DR: had to swap the cables when it didn't work (see picture)

After futsing with a couple USB to PS/2 expanders which didn't fully work, this expander worked. My only wish would have been to have the PS/2 connectors colored rather than black. It does have very, very small lettering identifying functions for which I had to use a magnifying glass.

I have used this twice with HP PCs and a KVM switch supporting customer's PCs. Works great from start of the boot to O/S use.

Although this splitter is supposed to allow you to use both a keyboard and mouse in the single ps2 port provided by manufacturers if you plug in both together the computer has a stroke.

Only the mouse side worked -- I could connect either the mouse or keyboard to the "mouse" side of the adapter and whichever one I connected worked properly. Nothing worked when connected to the "keyboard" side of the adapter. Note that I could connect the keyboard directly to the combo port on the motherboard and it worked fine. But of course I need BOTH keyboard and mouse -- that's why I bought this adapter!Too inexpensive an item to bother returning it, IMO.

Keyboard -> KBD, Mouse -> Mouse, everything just works. Typing through this cable right now.Not sure why others are having issues, maybe a quality control problem, but at least my unit is working as expected.

When mouse and keyboard are plugged in it doesn't work. Only works when either mouse or keyboard is plugged in which defeats the purpose. What a waste of money!
