The chatter-free cutting action requires minimal power. The microsmooth CNC precision ground construction produces clean, smooth cutting without smearing on a variety of materials. The tool especially excels in countersinking or deburring holes in aluminum, plastics and other nonmetallics. Cobalt steel tools are similar to high-speed steel, but with more cobalt for improved performance when cutting harder metals such as stainless steel or nickel alloys. Uncoated tools feature just the base substrate without any additional treatment or coatings and are suitable for a wide range of applications. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of toolholding systems. When run in a counterclockwise direction (right-hand cut) spiral fluted tools evacuate chips up and out of the cut to reduce clogging. 82 degree angle.

Works really really well, excellent design! Very smooth countersinks in wood. Worked a lot better then the previous countersink I had (purchased from a home improvement store).

I’m a woodworker and needed a countersink for a 1/2†screw head and none of my standard drill-bit countersink combo but were large enough for the 1/2†head. I had a more conventional countersink only bit but it left a lot of chatter on the surface of the cut that looked terrible. This bit was the ticket in hard maple, worked quickly and very smooth and easy to control. Highly recommended.

Used this on holes in a maple butcher block tabletop before putting in threaded inserts. Worked great - nice and smooth results.

I needed a replacement for a previously damaged bit. This one was inexpensive but has so far held up nicely. I use it on wood and aluminum, I have no idea how it’ll do on anything tougher.

This tool works great. It cut nice and clean on walnut. It is well made and looks the part. My only minor gripe is that the shavings always end up in the hole in the middle. After a few holes I have to use something to push them out.

Using on a drill press for 1/8 to 1/4†holes with no issue. The tool has no issue with hi-carbon 1095 material (pre heat treat)
