Super nice countersink! This is a very well made tool, and does a SUPERB job in both hard and soft woods. Handheld works well, but prone to making the chamfer heavier on one side. It still gives nice results, you just have to compensate with a little opposite pressure. Drill press use is again, SUPERB to the normal single flute and rose countersinks folks use. It cuts very fast, so watch your feed pressure. Also very smooth finish. I'll never use anything but these countersinks for my woodworking again. Very very satisfied with this product!!! Highly recommended! !!!

Used this counter sink bit with an evolution mag drill and dark cutting oil to mount my welding table top to the base frame I made. Didn’t know how the bit would hold up on 50 grade steel (hardened steel). Drilled 15 counter sinks and the last hole was as crisp and clean as the first. If you use plenty of cutting oil and let the drill do the work, this bit will last a long time. Definitely worth the money and exceeded my expectations.

Avoid KEO Cobalt Steel Countersink. Metal burr from manufacture left on edges in more than one place. Useless in my work. Wasted time waiting for this, then driving to ship it back for a refund.

Great cutter, but needs a pilot hole.

Expensive, but worth it for the reduction in frustration. This is vastly better than the 5- or 6-flute countersinks with evenly-spaced cutting edges, which can chatter when chamfering or countersinking in wood or aluminum, resulting in a pentagonal or hexagonal hole (the right shaft speed and feed rate and a drill press help, but don't always prevent this). The cobalt steel is very sharp as-delivered and seems likely to last a long time without resharpening. The only minor drawback is the nature of the KEO design is such that this 5/8" countersink won't chamfer or countersink holes much smaller than about 3/16 inch, whereas the cutting flutes of typical countersinks come to a point. But KEO makes smaller countersinks.

Wow, this thing works great. I use it to debur the ends of polycarbonate and PVC tubing. It is quick, doesn't chatter at all and loves a perfectly smooth chamfer. The cutting edge looks a bit iffy, but it works perfectly despite that. It works equally well on 1/2" inside diameter tube as it does in 1/4" inside diameter tube.

Good countersink. Works exactly as it should, cuts clean, no chatter.

I've only use this for two project the first only had 4 holes to countersink. I just used this for the second time on a project with 8 holes and by the eighth hole I had to put a lot of pressure on the drill press to get it to cut. On inspection, you can see that the cutting edge of the hole is ragged and blunt. Might be a good idea to look for a better brand.
