The kerosene heater is old and has significant corrosion. I checked the batteries, wiring and connections with a meter and everything seemed good up to the igniter. Due to age and corrosion, the voltage is weak at the igniter connection, even after cleaning. I suspect insufficient voltage at the contact to heat the coil. Matches work and are cheap.

All I can say is that it arrived in excellent condition and is in the original celllopack. I am writing this review because Amazons Bot keeps e-mailing me to write one. I bought this as a spare and it is hanging on a hook in my garage.

Easy to install and it works at it should. That’s good enough for me. Just made sure you buy the right one as they come in two variations and they are NOT interchangeable. I needed “A†ordered “A†and got “Aâ€. All good!
