Preliminary review.Remote case was easy to assemble, looks fine and works when put together. The one thing it would be nice if it would be great if the two halves of the remote came separated. I swapped the key to the new case and there were no issues with the mechanism that flips the key open. Overall, I am happy with the case, it is cost effective and fit could be better but it works. We will see how long it lasts.

As you can see from my pictures, my buttons got wore out and broke off. The key fob still works, but i cannot use my remote start & with it being winter, it sucks not being able to remote start from inside the house.The key of course had to be cut, but it fit perfectly after being cut. The ease of programing the key was so easy because I already had the "master key". Definitely get money's worth for replacement value.

One of my remotes didn’t work because of the face was gone and I had another remote where it was falling apart. I bought the two-pack because I had two key fobs. In the end, both of them work again. I recommend this product. I just swapped the motherboards and they worked just fine. They are very durable and the quality is phenomenal.

The factory key might need a little filing if you are swapping it verses getting it cutOther than that fairly simple parts swap

If you are looking for a cheap replacement, this is for you. In an attempt to put the old metal key into the case, it did not exactly fit. The provided spring parts did not work with the old key so well in that the metal key does not completely hide in the case. The provided spring parts did not work with the old metal key. However, the computer board works well and aligns with the buttons.

The old fob no longer worked.I have used one of the fobs ordered so far.With pieces from old fob, the new one works great.This would be the chip and key.

Was easy as heck to install!!! But getting the old board out CAN be a pain in the rear. This has nothing to do with the product of course. Buttons work great! It's like a brand new key fob now! 😄

Worked out fine in the end, but I was hoping to avoid paying to have the blank key cut. Ideally you want to just swap out the original key and be done. This is an after market replacement product and not an exact replica. When I assembled it with my original key, the key did not spin freely on the plastic hub in the housing. I have run into this problem with other fobs and was able to shave some plastic with an Xacto knife in some cases to relieve friction, but I had no luck doing that in this case. The blank key spun beautifully, so I went and had it cut ($25). Works perfectly. I might try a different manufacturer in the future in hopes a key swap will work. 2013 Chevy Cruz.

on the first fob, the metal bracket for the battery kept falling off. The one time I actually got it together, I was able to unlock the car but not lock it. On the second fob, the metal bracket stayed in place, but again, I was not able to lock the car. It is unfortunate that this was supposed to by my husband's Christmas gift.

The shell fits the electronics but does not take the original key. There are three prongs on the back of the spring loaded button and they do not line up with the original grooves of the original key. I tried keeping my original button but the hole on the new shell is too small.Don’t waste your money on this falsely advertised product.The first image is the original key and original button. Fits perfectly.The second image is the original key and provided button. Does not fall all the way down. The three pins are millimeters off from the original slots.Third and fourth images….original key / shell on the right. Clearly not the same.
