It functioned as describe with no issue.Pros:-easy installation-solid build quality-adaptability to different setupCons:-only cons is the pull wire has to be within certain angle, meaning if the wire pass through is offset too much from the pull-lock mechanism, the spring is not strong enough to return the pull knob on the outside

Lock is easy to install sturdy issue with the cable coming back. Don't put it from the inside. It's very cheap. I already broken two of them.

Appears to be well made. Latch resists closing so slam it a bit or add Never Seize.Couple of tips. Ha a flat plate installed that is removed by rotating counter clockwise five degrees and wiggling it off. Using wood mounts, you'll need about 3/4 inch gap to accommodate the side mount feature. The Spring return needs a 1/2 hole drilled all the way through. The set screw on the small ferrule is hard to get on through the spring. Some screws are for a metal fence, some for wood. Be sure the pull wire hole is centered on the latch when in place, about 3/4 inch from edge.

This is very cheaply made and was missing parts when received. The wire fasteners was not included in the shipment and the assembly was not secure within the pull knob. This allowed the wire to pull free from the pull knob after 2 or 3 times using once it was properly assembled. I would ask for a refund but instead I’ll leave this review and move on to a better product. It’s Not worth the money because of its low build and material quality.

This latch can be operated from both sides of the gate. Also, it is reversible so don’t worry if you have a left or right swing.
