Instructions for use:
Attention:
- Manual adapter without autofocus or aperture ring.
- Skillful installation, don't too much force.
- Adapting an APS-frame lens to a full-frame camera may generate vignetting, some cameras could correct it by adjusting APSC.
- Adapting a full-frame lens to an APS-frame camera provides excellent edge-to-edge sharpness. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the 'sweet spot' or center of the larger lens image circle. And it will magnify the focal length by 1.6 on Canon, 1.5 on Nikon and Sony, 2.0 on M4/3 camera

The adapter is made with great build quality that matches my Sony A7 camera. I use the adapter for my East Germany lenses from Praktica/Pentacon. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to use vintage lenses with a Sony full frame mirror less cameras.

I took a chance on this one. I needed an adapter that fit with the Pentax Super Micro Coated Takumar 50mm f1.4. This fits and allows the aperture ring to turn without interference as many of the adapters do. No lens modification needed. Well built. Nice design and bonus, the Sony orange ring at the base.

Got this for my Helios 44-2 to work with my a7IV, and while the adapter fits perfectly on the camera and looks amazing, the lens itself doesn’t screw on tightly to the adapter. It’s only a slight rattle, and I imagine you’d have to really shake it around and pry at it for it to come off, but my paranoia forces me to constantly hold the lens itself to just guarantee it won’t slip off somehow. Besides this, it does exactly what it needs to do

Helios 44 series can be finicky lenses to adapt based on when they were made. My lens is a Helios MC 44-3 from 1987. Cheap adapters do not function correctly with this lens. I bought this one, and didn't even need to make adjustments at all. Locks tight onto the lens, no play or wiggle, and allows me to adjust focus with no issues. Not sure if it actually adds any contrast with the interior coating, but it doesn't as I love the photos that it renders. You pay for what you get, don't buy cheap.

Needed an adapter for my Helios so it could be used with my Sony A7III. The adapter wasn't aligned out the factory, causing the markings to show up on the side rather than on the top where they should be, but it was easy enough to correct with an allen wrench. Wish they did include an allen wrench in the kit though, it's not an unusual problem to run in to, regardless of the adapter brand

I’ve got five Sony e mount cameras and this mount doesn’t work on any of them without forcing it. The machining is beautiful but that means nothing if the quality control isn’t there to send out a working mount especially for top dollar.

Bought this for the TtArtisans 75mm 1.5 lens and it works well. Occasionally I have to screw the lens back on after adjusting the aperture ring but this is the nature of the M42 mount. High quality mount surfaces that don’t damage the lens threads and it’s orange band matches more or less with Sony bayonet orange band, slight colour difference. Overall well designed and attractive lens adapter.
