Received the vice and wasn't too impressed. Being a bargain hunter though I thought it was worth going over to make it better. Disassembled, made Delrin bearings, straightened the screws (very bent), ground off the sharp edges, and cleaned up the sliding surfaces. Ran a threader through the slide shim adjustment screws, put on a little way oil, and it now is very tight, and smooth operating. I realize this sounds like a lot but as a home hobbyist without a fat wallet I can well take the time to do this. Highly recommended if you don't have the $200 + to buy a brand name.

It came with one Handel broken. I fabricated a new one. It is very difficult to it get it to slide to squeeze the piece of work. I clean and sanded and silicone sprayed the bed to get it to slide smooth. It’s not cooperating, I’d spend more money on something made in the US. We have to start manufacturing things in the united states again.
