Exactly what I needed to replace some old 4" box springs on our Cal King that made a new mattress too high. Quality is better than expected and it's very quick and easy to put together. Only the included Allen wrench is needed. I did use a solid Bunkie Board on top of this frame to better support the new hybrid mattress, but was still able to remove 2" of height and maintain quiet and solid support.

I purchased this because the frame I got only had side boards, and I did not have a box spring. I had a fleeting hope that this frame was robust enough by itself, but I ended up having to purchase additional supports to put in the center. Without the center supports, the bed sags in the middle and I'd be worried about any activities outside of sleeping.Very easy to assemble, metal quality is 7/10, no noise complaints, easy returns.

We bought this to lower my parents bed as they’ve had trouble getting in and out of theirs recently. It’s only been a week but seems to be working great so far

With a heavier mattress the frame will bend and the mattress will sag towards the middle. The only way to fix this is by installing 3 legs from the frame to the floor. There are holes in the frame that looks like this is the way it is suppose to be.
