Update: finally plugged it in, loaded up the pellets, and the unit is warming up for first fire as I type. Some initial tips on final assembly and operation (so far): 1) when you check to make sure the auger is moving, be patient. The auger turns so slowly you might miss it. Also, it only turns for a few seconds then turns off for a minute, cycling back and forth between turning and being motionless; and 2) have a small magnet ready if you need to take off the pellet hopper screen. It is fixed in place by three screws and, if you drop one of those screws, it's likely to fall into the auger access hole and will be a bear to recover w/o a magnet. Other than that, everything's gone according to plan. Â I'll update this review as my user experience continues. For now, the item came incredibly well packaged, and was easy to assemble, albeit a lot of steps. Other reviews have mentioned concerns with sturdiness - I don't see the complaint, as the item is well-made and sturdy. Of course, time will tell and I will update the review accordingly. So far, in terms of appearance, ease of assembly, and overall construction, I'd say it's been excellent. One star off because the pellet hopper came badly dented (but not badly enough to impact functionality and I shudder to think what returning this might entail).

nice and easy to put together. There is one problem i have with it. I've been around pellet grills now for about 4 yrs. even used one a time or two. But this unit does not Smoke!! Not even in the smoke setting. It also burns alot of pellets in a 3 hour smoking. I've been emailing King Chii and finally after a few emails of treating me like i don't know anything they want me to video my Unit in action. It is a constant flame whether it's on SMOKE and does not stop putting off a 4 inch flame the whole time. for some reason according to unit, it is staying around 250 the whole 3 hrs on a rack of ribs. But just does not SMOKE!!!! I have used 2 different types of brand new pellets. Even thought is is alot cheaper than most smokers it should atleast work right a few times before having to break down and really spend some money on another one. I just want it to SMOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This smoker is 1/2~1/3 price of other well known smokers. The overall quality is good, but the caulkings could be applied better, but I can't complain for this price.I got Kirkland pellets and cooked 2.5lb chuck roast for 7 hours. I ended up overcooking, but the meat was still juicy and very tender.

We absolutely love love this smoker ! It definitely does it job. It is on the small size but that's what we wanted . I do wish it was a tad bit taller but doesn't affect it in any way. This is the best pellet smoker to start off with. Shipping was fast and really nothing bad to say at all.
