I am glad that I chose to start my first grill using the Kingsford Original Charcoal. It gave me a great first experience. Nothing went wrong. The charcoal is easy to be lightened using chimney and proper fire starters. No funny smell. The meat has actually smelled and tasted pretty well without any additional smoking pellets.

We're not a fan of gas grills, much prefer a charcoal grill. The coals heat evenly and last a very long time with minimum smoke. Good charcoal for the price, the only charcoal we'll use.

Grilling and smoking are two different styles of cooking but they can both happen on a charcoal grill. Here's what's good about Kingsford Original Charcoal Briquettes, BBQ Charcoal for Grilling. The coal pieces are palm-sized and stack well. I use a torch to light the stack that way I can avoid any lighter fluid or starter gases. The coals fire up after burning for a few minutes and get real hot when they start showing some white. I use charcoal baskets to aid in heat control and it makes it easier to manage the coals. I have had temperatures from above 450° to a steady controlled burn at 225°, all with Kingsford Original Charcoal Briquettes. I am already on my second bag.Oh, Kingsford Original Charcoal Briquettes also adds flavor. Smoking meats comes down to the flavors of the charcoal and/or wood being used. The charcoal flavor of Kingsford Original Charcoal Briquettes does well on meats and makes the taste. Better your burger next time you grill.
