I was able to install this in my desktop with no problems and all of the ports work fine. I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend this for someone with the larger 5.25 bay available on their desktop. However, there are a few items that should have been listed in the product description:- The card slots are only USB 2.0. This fact is listed if you look at the product pictures, but is not described on the product page. I was a bit disappointed with this but since all the ports work fine I'm going to keep the hub.- There is a molex power connection on the hub so you want to make sure you have an extra molex power connection available.

Product works good, just I find the leds super annoying so I removed those permanent led lights. The dials work good not bad quality. just be aware this is a 3.5†slot compatible device, you will need a 3.5†to 5.25†expansion bay adapter like how I have pictured if you dont have 3.5†slots.

This fan controller has been a real life saver for me! I have a very basic motherboard/computer case, neither of which allow me to be able to control the speeds of the fans I have installed on for my gaming rig. However, my fiancé does not like how loud the setup gets (I have a liquid cooler in my setup that has fans on its radiator that run up to 2500 rpm). So, I installed this into my setup. Now, when I'm using the computer, all I have to do is tell each fan how fast I want it to run! When I'm done, I just set them all to the lowest setting possible, which seems to be about half of the full-running speed of each fan. The touch screen works very nice as well, which was a main concern of mine. You have to press the keys a little bit harder than you would a phone's screen. The reason why I am giving this product four stars rather than a perfect five is because of the thermometer. The thermometer doesn't plug into the port on the motherboard that relays a cpu's core temperatures; rather, it is just a free-floating thermometer. The instructions suggest that you put the thermometer in a heatsink for optimal use, but since I have a water-cooled system, I just have it free-floating as close to the seal of the cooler and the cpu as I have possible, essentially measuring the temperature of the inside of the case itself. I would like for it to be able to read the temperature of the cpu as that is much more important.

In summary, I have to echo the complaints made by other reviewers: 1) Cheaply made 2) Poorly designed 3) Does not work wellTo be specific, the unit cheapness of the unit can be seen in several areas. First off, as others have said, the attachment screws are cheap wood screws not machine threads and screw into smooth plastic holes, cutting the threads into the plastic holes as you screw. CAREFUL NOT TO OVERTIGHTEN as you will strip the plastic out.Second the circuit boards are fully exposed. Better made units enclose the circuit boards in a metal case with shield them from EMF interference and protect them. Saves them a few bucks = cheaply made.Third, the USB 3 cable coming out of the unit is way to short to reach anything inside a tower case - which is the type of case you would have with a 5.25 inch front panel accessory. So I had to buy an extension cable. But beyond that, the cable connector is a cheap piece of S**T and you can't tell if it is snugged properly into it's mate. Bad design... and CHEAP.Now, this I knew in advance and should have realized, but the card reader slots are on USB 2.0 and are Soooo SLOOOW. It was about 1/4 the speed I got with an external USB card reader I was trying to replace. So that's on me. But still, WTF? Why not have all slots go on USB 3? (The replacement I got did have card slots on USB 3).Finally, the icing on the cake was the damn thing didn't work consistently. Sometimes it would work fine and others it would lose the drive in the middle of copying a file.I know that it's hard to find a 5.25" card reader with USB 3.0. What I ended up doing was getting the 3.5" model from StarTech (35FCREADBU3) and a $5 adapter (BRACKETFDBK) to fit it in the 5.25" bay. Solid build and works like a champ at full USB 3.0 speeds across the board.Cheers!

I installed this hub in a 5.25 inch drive bay and plugged it in and it just works. Got it to replace a USB 3.0 expansion card in an x1 slot that would have knocked my second X16 (that only runs at, x4 speed with my graphics card in slot 1) slot all the way down to x1 speed. It appears on 550 motherboards that if you have a graphics card installed in your primary x16 slot your second X16 slot only functions as x4 then if you occupy an x1 slot as well all PCIE slots except for slot 1 are knocked down to PCIE x1. These secondary slots except for the slot 1 graphics card slot are all PCIE 3.0 while the graphics card slot is 4.0. Pay careful attention to this when buying a motherboard in the future folks. I know I will. I consider this something of a serious limitation. The board didn't even have an x8 slot but has 3-4 x1 slots. The board in question is the ROG Strix B 550 F gaming. Great board just some limitations on the PCIE side of things. It's paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X.

Excellent produit pour controler les ventilateurs avec une belle finition. Seul hic les sondes de température ne sont pas bien calibrées car celle sur ma carte video ne passe pas le 90°F et pourtant je sais très bien que la temperature reelle est de plus de 120°F.

This fan controller fit nicely into my case. fan speeds are equal. The blue leds are a nice add on for sure and also match my leds for the rest of my PC.Easy to install, with simple molex for power. The power and fan power lines also has about 12" of line so there is no fighting to connect. For the price point you can not go wrong. :) would by again

Great product, It has a molex connection, so you can go from the psu and sata only to power it instead of the other connections. Only thing that wasn't described of the thing, but yeah very good and effective uprade for data cards and expanding ports and gaining a usb c type if you don't have one. Great speeds.
