Since these completely disappear after putting the curtains on them, there's not much to be concerned about. I will say some of the edges are a bit sharp, so be careful when handling them so you don't tear the curtains. I installed these with ez-pass style velcro strips so they go on and come off easily when needed.

Just what I was looking for. Perfect for the windows by my front door. No problem with installation (and it was my first time using a screw gun). I love it. It is sturdy enough to withstand the grandkids and the cat moving the curtains to look out the window.

These curtain rods are the perfect fit for side light windows on entry doors. My sidelights were only 10 inches wide and 40 inches long and these expand in that range of width. Best for curtains that slide directly on the rod and not for ring type that would need more space under the rod, which these don’t provide.
