How did you come up with the idea for this product?
It began as a family effort to help make life easier for Mama Ola, because she was having hard time in the kitchen with her arthritic hands. After brainstorming through many ideas such as ergonomic cutting boards and Star-Trek style utensils, we settled on a cordless electric can opener because that was the most difficult task for her.

I love this item. My 85 yr old hands cannot deal with hand held can opens which are hard to turn. This opener is amazing. There is no effort whatsoever. You set it on the can and push a button and it does the rest. A great invention and will still have during power outages from our severe Indiana weather and storms. Recommend to anyone have a hard time with opening cans. Can’t say enough about it

After purchasing somewhat similar (and cheaper) versions of an automatic can opener.....this is the sweet spot. It actually works well, even when the can is somewhat dented / irregular. No sharp edges at all. The only downside, is that the cut is so smooth, it's actually hard to see, to remove the lid! Very satisfied with this purchase.

I bought this to take with me on a trip to another state. This is a total waste of money! Since it only uses 2 AA batteries it does not have enough power to open any can that I tried it on. I hate to throw it out, so I am still trying to open cans with it; the same can of black beans(no pull tab) I tried 6 times to open with this mini can opener with no success. I wonder if I got a defective one. The return deadline passed before I was able to return it.

Wasn't cutting lid. Contacted the seller's support group. In their video it was suggested that I tip the tail end up slightly. Everything working fine now.

I like the size of this can opener. And it cuts the lid off nicely with no Sharp edges. However, it seems to go very slowly. Maybe the batteries were not fresh. I should have tried some others. The other thing I did not like is that it does not stop cutting after it makes a full revolution. I don't think that's good. I want a can opener that stops automatically.

This can opener is a must have! It’s great for seniors who struggle with opening cans of all sizes! Got one for my daughter and my daughter in law! They love theirs too!!

Excellent electric can opener from the Kitchen Mama brand, it takes 2 AA batteries, it's very easy to use (especially if you have arthritis or difficulty with manual dexterity) and leaves no sharp edges. To use just place the can opener on top of the can press the button on top and let it do its thing and once the opener has completed 1 full revolution press the button once more to stop it. It has a small magnet underneath to help take off the top of the can. Personally this is the best can opener I've ever used and wished I'd found out about these sooner. I'd give it 5 out of 5 stars even though they are more expensive than the usual can openers.
