I have a pair of snake-cats/carpet-sharks aka: Ferrets.We thought we had ferret-proofed the house, but we had a hallway that ended with three doors and the ferrets became determined to discover what was behind each door and started tearing at the carpets just as a cat would.Unfortunately we didn't figure out a permanent solution until they had caused a fair amount of carpet damage under the doors, we kept putting things in front of the doors that the ferrets always figured out how to move them or get access to the door one way or the other (clever problem-solving ferrets). I wish I'd thought of these mats sooner.They have done the trick and the ferrets not only can't damage the carpets anymore, they have lost interest in the doors and are back to bouncing and dooking around the house.Only a few things of note: these are overpriced... as others have mentioned you can do this for much cheaper at the local Home Depot or Lowes if you're willing to do some cutting of your own... but these definitely work... also, they were shipped in ridiculously huge boxes, but still managed to come in warped and refused to bend back into shape or lay flat... however, placing them in the tub full of hot water for a few minutes they quickly "de-warped" went back to the intended shape and now lay flat with zero issues for two very clever ferrets... remember to soak them in hot water if they arrive bent/warped.Overall, I'm very happy to have found a permanent solution that works... but I deducted a star because these are just too pricey. Should be at least half what they cost.

This saved my carpet from my cat's scratching! It is the perfect size for our doorway. Super easy to put in place. Just needed to place something heavy (like a stack of books) on the edges for the first several hours to keep it from rolling up. Does exactly what it needs to do. It's help up great so far. Only downside was the rubbery smell when the product first arrived but that has been improving with time. I seriously wish we had bought one for every doorway in the house!

Came just as described. My cat has tried and tried to claw her way through the floor into our bed and to no avail. We have carpet. It's protected it 100%. She has finally given up.

These suckers are DURABLE. It will not budge from the door. I’ve had one that I’ve been using for well over a year, but bought a second one to keep at another door. It’s not the cutest, but does its job really well, and can be covered with a rug if the appearance distracts you.

My doors are 36", which is nearly 1/2 an inch wider than the largest mat, as featured in the photos. There is a gap on one side that is almost large enough for my kitty to still get to the carpet.I didn't anticipate there being that much of a difference, which is why I still bought this product.While this has already proven to be a useful product, there needs to be larger sizes available, as newer homes have wider doors. Otherwise, it's great!

Got the 32 for my 32 inch door. There is a slight gap at the edge in the corners, howver this hasn't been an issue as of yet. Have had it in for about 1.5 weeks so far and while my cat has investigated it and tried to scratch at it, he gave up within a few days as can't get to the carpet now. Hasn't even tried for those exposed corners. This has been a massive saver for me as my cat was doing some serious damage to the carpet. Just wish I'd bought it sooner. Came slightly bent, put it in warm water as per instructions, now it's perfectly flat. Definitely recommend.

So disappointed. Bought the exact one last year but these do not cover completely - even though we measured. There is about a 2 inch gap on one side .
