I have a Besson 785 Recording tuba that weighs in around 40lbs, and doesn't have a case. It fits quite well and was easy to adjust it to fit. The bell does cause the horn to tilt forward in the stand a hair (recording tuba, so the 12lb bell is to the front, not vertical), but once it settled, it isperfectly stable.Something else to keep in mind, it does collapse down quite nicely! Quite handy because a) I refuse to just lay a caseless tuba on the ground, b) I refuse to carry 40+ lbs of tuba around when not seated and c) I do not trust it to stay on a chair unattended. Seriously, you never know where those blasted things will get to when you're not watching them. It is even part of the transport system when hauling it to a rehersal/gig.Another reviewer recommended adding lock washers to the two nuts and bolts on the base. It was an excellent idea. Just don't be surprised if you need to add a thin fender washer as I did due to the size of lock washers I had available. Would also recommend stainless steel for both types of washers.Edit: Since I wrote this, I have used it while attending rehearsals and on stage. The stand travels well, breaks down and sets up very easily. It is also part of the transport method when setting up and packing out from concerts. It has withstood 3 years of at least weekly travel. It has been well worth the money!*Waves right hand like a Jedi"This is the stand you are looking for."

A very good Tuba Stand for the smallest to the biggest.I bought it to support my Conn 21J and it works wonderfuls. I just had to rearrange the side arms to support the big and wide turns of the big 6/4 Tuba but it remained sturdy and very practical to mount and unmount the horn from the stand.Definitely I recommend this to every Tuba Player

Fantastic product will take most regular sized tubas. However, if you have a British style Eb with marching hoops it does make it tricky to get it in and out, so if are using this for a show or need to pick up quickly beware!

I have a 4/4 Miraphone 186 tuba. This stand works well with it. I used to have a 6/4 Wessex Grand tuba that probably would have been too big for this stand. I don't like putting the tuba on its bell, so I take the stand with me to band practices and concerts. I bought the K&M tuba stand case, which was probably overpriced (it was shipped from Germany), but well worth the money to me because of the convenience. I prefer the K&M stand over the Hercules stand (I've used both for tubas), because the Hercules stand does not feel as stable. I also have the K&M euphonium stand and like it as well.

Secure stand that is sturdy and easy to carry. I can switch between tuba and bass trombone without setting the tuba down on its bell. It is easily adjustable to fit just about any size tuba.

The stand is impressive. It holds my King 2341 like a boss. Contrary to other reviews I've seen, I will use this stand on-stage. No more bell repairs in my future, thank you!The box it came in had opened inside the box containing the rest of my order. Small part floating around inside outer box. Not a big deal, but...

Super tuba stand. Well--designed and precision-manufactured. I've tried a couple of other tuba stands and nothing comes close to this one in terms of quality and stability. I have a Miraphone/B&S type upright-bell German tuba that I used to put down on its bell when not in use. Using this stand makes for a much more stable arrangement. This stand is pricier than others but it's well worth the additional cost.

Came on time and well packaged. This comes in a box so some assembly is required. Once assembled this can be adjusted to fit your tuba bell. Sturdy and well put together, Ideal for when you are doing a gig and need to rest your instrument. Highly recommended.

This TUBA stand is a robust, quality item, similar to all other Konig and Meyer products I have ever come across. However, its name has been comically mistranslated from the german as SNORKEL stand. It appears that someone without an ounce of wit has got hold of a german/english dictionary and translated the german word TUBA, not to the english word TUBA, but to the english word SNORKEL.Must remember to take my tuba along next time I go deep sea diving!!
