I got into front collision and damaged the original filter on the cold air setup for my Mazda3. I initially thought that I had to buy an additional ring fastener as I threw the original one in the trash along with the broken filter. It was a pleasant surprise when I opened up the box to find it was included! I would say if you intend on using this filter long term, it would end up saving you money. Many of the disposable dry weave cone filters are meant to be thrown away once saturated with dirt and grime and is not meant to be cleaned whereas this can be cleaned with an K&N air filter cleaning kit. You simply spray the solvent over the filter area, run it under water from the inside so that the dirt doesn't get forced back in into the filter media. Dry it over an air vent in your home and re-oil once it has completely dry.

I actually bought this filter for my 2019 Jeep Renegade (Not the intended application), but if fits into the stock intake tube perfectly, so I removed the factory intake box, and replaced it with this filter!!! Boom self made cold air intake! Thanks K&N!!
