This was okay to install (the hard part was removing the old one), but it does not fit the K-596-VS with Docknetik that we have. The kohler website does not note a difference, but these faucets have a lifetime warranty, definitely call Kohler before ordering from Amazon.

The hardest part of the installation is the removal of the old hose. Installation videos are viewable online but it can still be frustrating. I used a 6-inch adjustable wrench spread just wide enough to press up on the collet's plastic tabs to release the old hose; I could not do it with my fingertips. The new hose easily snaps in place.

This item was ordered to replace an existing faucet hose that had sprung a leak. During the check out process I was able to save 20 dollars by purchasing a used item instead of a new one. While the Item was used it came in original packaging and looked brand new.Replacement process was exactly as described in the Kohler videos - though they don't tend to show the lay on your back and wrestle with it for an hour while a continuous stream of profanity comes out of your mouth portion of the project. Had the hose actually fit my sink this would have been a pretty straight forward replacement. The fitment issue was no fault of the seller but rather of Kohler. I had reviewed the documentation online for my sink but they gave no suggestion on whether I needed the standard hose or the "dock-it" hose so I ordered this standard hose replacement. Unfortunately it didn't fit, but again this was no fault of the seller or the replacement, but some misguided consumer.I knocked a star off because the shipment got delayed and instead of getting it on a Saturday, with plenty of time to do the work, i received it on a Monday. A little frustrating, but not the end of the world.

Worked great and saved us a bunch of money by just replacing this part and not the entire faucet.

The first hose that came with the faucet failed after 2 1/2 years. Bought this and installed it, 7 months later and it's already leaking. Kohler makes junk now. One of the best plumbing brands has literally went down their own toilet. Again, horrible design. I have had two of this type of Kohler faucet in previous homes and never had this happen.The process for changing out the hose is horrendous due to the quick disconnect. It goes in easy when you install it but trying to get it out is a nightmare. Hit it with WD40 or Blaster Penetrator first and then try to work it in. It came out with a hard snap, feels like you are going to wreck something in the process. I think they must have two different metals in the fitting which corrode and lock together. Again, bad design.I really need to call them and make warranty claims instead of paying out of my own pocket to get new a new hose.

I got the stainless steel hose wrap, not what it showed in the picture.Very hard to disconnect the quick connect side. Make sure to push up on the hose, then hold the white plastic piece up while you pull the hose down. It took me several tries to get it off.Snaking the hose through the faucet was very very difficult.

Part arrived quickly & I decided to have the plumber install it while he was here doing other items. Part fit well & was correct in all aspects BUT the ball joint at the sprayer head leaked.He disassembled the old and new parts to see if we could frankenstein a solution & found the seals in the new unit were flattened and hard, as if this hose had been made years ago and sat on a shelf for a long time.We managed to make the new hose work with some parts from the old. Not acceptable for part this expensive.

Had a tear in our hose and had to replace it. Found out Koehler is no longer stocking replacement parts in Home Depot so ordered on amazon. Perhaps this hose can be used for a couple of styles or version of this faucet because we had to take off two plastic pieces that stopped it from fitting. But once we figured that out it worked great!

Once you have ensured this is the correct part number for your model of pull-down faucet the replacement is about a 10 minute process. Works great (factory replacement part).

The hose itself is fine. However, removal of the old hose can be a chore and damage to the plastic collet connector is a common outcome. It's frustrating that this part doesn't ship with a replacement collet. For lack of a $1 part, which must cost Kohler pennies, but which costs $18 to ship to Canada on Amazon and will take another two weeks, I'm left with a leaky connection.
