I really like this shower head. The main shower setting is nice. Plenty of flow. The more concentrated one feels great on sore muscles. If you want mist, the third setting delivers. Seems to be good quality. Head and shoulders above a previous single setting rain shower head by a name vendor.

I was worried about the diameter of this head - but the spray is even, contained, and easy to control. Compared to the much smaller diameter showerhead that came with the house, this thing is comfortable, allows us to rinse well, and doesn't scatter water all over the place. The diameter is just fine.I thought I might regret not getting the higher flow head - but I'd rather save water anyway.It does feel "plasticky" but it installed in a few seconds, and the only oddity is it "fills" up with water before spraying properly. But it does the job it is supposed to do, so I suppose the price is fair.

After more than two years using this 1.75 GPM showerhead (K-22169-G-CP) after switching from a ~5.0 GPM head (K-7374), I'm impressed and happy with the purchase.A home water usage audit showed we had high water usage and showers were a culprit. Of course we loved the ca. 2002 Kohler 5 GPM showerhead (product spec says 2.5 GPM but I measured it at close to 5, so assume it's an older solid brass model or a flow restrictor was removed). It had high water pressure, fast cleaning, and a fast hot shower felt great to warm up quickly. So giving up all that for a lower flow head felt like a loss. Moreover, California now has a 1.75 GPM standard so Amazon wouldn't let me buy the 2.5 model here.Fortunately, this Forte 1.75 GPM model has been great. It obviously doesn't have the same pressure, but it washes well. It's at least as good as another 2.5 GPM ca. 2012 design and far better than the early low-flow heads in the 90s. The misty spray is kind of a neat trick--I crank up the water temperature, and it heats up the shower stall faster and steamy, without scalding. That is great for warming up. Then I switch to the regular/wide setting for the regular routine. The massage setting seems like a feature for a product sheet and as I expected, it's not too useful. But given this is about 1/3 of the old flow I don't feel guilty about linger a bit longer.Build quality is fine. The chrome plastic head still looks great and the setting knob still rotates with one finger and clicks just like new. Kept the old head in case the low flow head was not going to cut it but after the first few days I forgot about it.

I purchased this to replace an old shower head that was getting clogged with calcium and limescale deposits. This unit produces a good water stream for a envigorating shower. I wanted a minimum 2.5gpm water flow because anything below that weakens the water pressure coming out of the showerhead. The Kohler Forte has three different stream settings and it’s easy to switch to a different setting. I ordered the French Gold color and the metal has a nice finish on the exterior. I hope this showerhead will provide a long service life but only time will tell.

The thread on this unit wouldn't fit my existing shower arm. It would screw on only about 1 turn, then stop, and it leaked when running even when using plumbers tape. It's listed as 1/2" NPT 14 on theAmazon site. I purchased a standard 1/2" NPT pipe nipple to test it, and it wouldn't screw in, same as the shower arm. I purchased another shower head from a different manufacturer, and it screwed right on.Then I Googled the standard thread count for US plumbing, and it is 14. The listing says this fits 1/2" NPT 14, which it did not, so I believe that the threads were simply cut wrong, as it wouldn't fit either my existing shower arm or the 1/2" nipple.I spent a couple of hours trying to problem solve this situation - once I got the right head, it took me 2 minutes to replace, which is what it should have been to begin with. I expect better from the Kohler name, but it turns out this was plastic and made in China, so maybe not surprising. My replacement is a Grohe, all metal, from Germany, and I'm quite happy with it.

My only issue is the description mentions the Pause function, which this showerhead does not have.Adjusting the angle is smooth but firm, exactly what we wanted. 3 modes are great, love the silky mist setting for warming up.
