Just fit my Kohler handle just perfectly comes with this new screw and the little cap to hide it. My original was all rotted out from many years of hard water.

I had to struggle to get the old one out from the handle since it was stuck due to hard water (maybe).Removing took almost an hourBut inserting this one and fixing the handle back was very quick 2 minutes job

If you service your older Kohler shower valve, there is a good likelihood that you may need a new chrome cap. This is it!

I think the description is wrong. I measured the black square as 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 inch.
