I purchased a lawn tractor very cheaply because the charging system wasn't working. I knew the alternator was working as the lights run on AC and they worked, so I ordered this kit. It took about 15 minutes to install; remove the old diode, solder the new diode in place using the included wire and done. The charging system works perfectly and the cheap tractor has accumulated a lot of hours.

Tractor wouldn't charge the battery and I was able to diagnose the problem to just a blown diode. (The stator was good because it still made AC power for the lights.)If that's your situation, this will fix it. You need to know how to solder.

Works perfectly. Engine was not recharging battery. Diode in charging system had burned out. Used kit that I received, now charging fine and lawnmower working great.

It's exactly what is suppose to be. The way to go if you need a new diode in your riding mower. Way cheaper than buying a OEM one.
