The are the perfect doorstop and wall protector. Easy to install. The middle anchor was the hardest part to figure out but is definitely needed to fully secure the long piece. Magnets are strong, but I have no problem pulling the doors shut. I advise to instll the long piece to the wall or floor first, and use that to find the best placement of the small piece onto the door.

Bought these when I first moved into our house and was tired of doors slamming shut when all the windows were open. I didn't want to have to use a manual door stop, and stumbled upon these. They are pretty easy to install, you just line them up with the door and the wall/floor where you mount them. Two screws into the door and 3 into the receiver end and you are done. They look really nice and work great. The magnet is strong enough to make sure the door doesn't blow close, but not so strong that you can't easily close it yourself. You can also adjust how much "contact" the door and receiver side have so that you can decrease how strong the hold on the door is.I've had these for over two years and they look and work like day one. I've recommended them to some family friends who all also have liked them.

Very nice looking and solidly built. Instructions are a bit cryptic - it took me a while to figure out that the bottom did not screw out as it does on many other similar magnetic door stops. There is a ring that unscrews to expose the screw holes on the base.

I have a heavier door that leads into my garage. I needed a door stopper so bringing in groceries wasn’t a hassle with the door. This magnetic door stopper is perfect! Easy to install! I had to use a drill bit other than that it was a piece of cake. Since I have a heavier door I have no problem releasing the magnet. The magnet is also strong enough to keep my door securely opened. It also looks great! Better looking than the silver spring thing.

I got this to keep a door open that is not level and always wants to close. The item came quickly and is well built. It was easy to install and works great. They receiving piece has a cushion so that when you close the door it does not slam or make a loud noise. Got a second one to install in another room.

So I have this on a solid door going to the garage. The previous one from HD would bounce off when you tried to hold the door. Not this one, it holds tight. To release the door a trick is to push on it slightly and then pull. That is easier than just pulling it straight. Using supplied screws to baseboard worked fine. Also I like the look of it with no exposed stainless steel parts or screws. Mine did not have any engraved logo. Time will tell on the rust. So far so good.

These are super well-made mag catches, much better than those I've paid much more for at hardware stores.I found the included drywall anchors useless. They're the type with no "lip" to stop them at the wall's surface—so when I tried to insert the screws, they slid into the wall and dropped into it, never to be seen again, like I knew they would (but I tried anyway 🤷ðŸ½â€â™‚ï¸ ).So if you're installing on drywall, you'll want to provide your own anchors... I recommend some of the screw-in type, which are much easier to use, and work great if you take your time and don't force them too much. Be sure to use some that are small enough to be hidden by the catch's base. Here's an easy way to find the right place to attach the other half of the catch to your door:1. Attach the large half of the catch to the wall.2. Loop a small piece of duct tape (so it's sticky on both sides), put it on the base that attaches to the door, then carefully center the concave disk on it that meets the wall arm. (Set aside the spring and cover for now.)3. Attach the disk (with the round base taped to it) to the wall arm, the way it'll be when the catch is installed and you've opened the door against it. Center the disk as well as you can on the arm.4. Rub a soft pencil all around the base's edge where it will seat against the door.5. Open your door fully and press it against the base. This transfers the pencil from the base to the door—and now you have a nice neat circle on the door, to show you where to attach the base!I like how much easier these catches are than fussing with doorstops. However, the loud CLICK when they meet is distracting; and the magnets are so strong, it can take some effort to pull the door away again. So I usually attach a small, thin little circle of rubber, felt, or some other soft material to the concave part on the door, padding the metal surfaces and reducing the magnet's pull. If you do this, you may need to experiment a bit, as you don't want to cancel the magnet's effect entirely—but it does make the catch much easier and more pleasant to use, IMHO. Cheers!
