This one is much bigger than the one it replaced. It also has some big pieces that are metal, vs. everything on the broken one being made of plastic. It’s something my grandson received for Christmas and clearly loves it, maybe too much? Time will tell if this toy is up to the task, when the other one wasn’t. All indicators show this is likely far more durable than the last one proved to be.

I got this for as a gift for my nephew, and he loves so much!. This thing is awesome. This product is well designed and fun for older kids. I would say a kid needs to be at least 6 or older to really start playing with it as it can be complicated with all the buttons and functions of the excavator. I like that it was already put together upon delivery so all we needed to do was input batteries and charge it and it worked great. If your kiddos like to play in the dirt and/or like tractor trailers, this is a perfect toy for them!All points of articulation have independent control so you can actually just curl and dump the bucket and move the arm separately. Seems pretty sturdy. I actually thought the body was metal at first. Have been having fun getting used to the controls. Once you get the hang of it, you can really do some nice maneuvers. It also has the ability to be programmed so you can program a set of movements then sit back and watch it move! totally awesome unexpected extra feature! Highly recommend.

Main arm is a little weak, but works in snow. Jack hammer is impressive, and if sharpened could actually be used! I'll probably glue the clutch gears. (torque limiter). Great in the snow. Arm control buttons are odd.

Just got it today after returning Double E Hobby Excavator and I think this thing is solid and powerful. The attachments are heavy duty made and I am looking forward to not only using this in the back yard but also to my scale RC collection.

Well made, solid, and large scale. Pictures show lifting a 2 inch thick, 10 inch long log with the optional log grabber. Bucket, motorized hammer, and log grapple are all metal. Much better than your average toy. Only comes with one battery. Amazon sells extra batteries.

Excellent toy! Very fun to use! DO NOT BUY FOR YOUR BOYFRIEND! He will dump you, keep the toy, and you’ll be out $100!! No boyfriend is worth this much! For husbands and sons only!
