I gave it five stars because it’s beautiful even if a bit stiff. After all is it real leather which is by nature stuff and not pliable till worked. I used mink oil and my hands to soften it. If you don’t have that, coat it with alcohol and then Vaseline. Let it sit and then work the leather. (Btw, I noticed no odor in either the dark brown or natural)

Great leather rope. I also bought clasps also and made my own necklaces. And still have 18 feet of necklace.

This will work for what I need, but there was such a bad, strong odor when I opened the bag. It seems to have dissipated somewhat after I left it outside for 2 days, but it's not completely gone. I know leather generally has a scent, but it's usually much more pleasant. This is just a bad, strong chemical smell.

How am I supposed to use this to support jewelry when it snapped the second I tested it? I didn't even get it unwound, it snapped so fast. In shock, I lightly pulled the broken piece and it snapped again. Complete disappointment, bc it was a lovely cord if only it isn't useless. How could I hope to tighten any sort of knot in it?

nice leather cord, it is a bit oily/waxy but that will wear off. it also has a chemical smell, that will wear off too. i place in the garage for a few days to breath, it was in a tight plastic package, so this will help. nice color.

I've used almost 2/3's of the cord on one necklace due to the cord cracking at the pendant then completely breaking apart while tightening the knots. I have other cordage from Konmay and it's good for my projects, except for these last 2 orders.
