I wasn't sure what to expect, but I've owned a TON of stands and this thing is awesome. I love that I can extend the legs completely horizontal to both lower the mounted product and create a more stable base for it. I use this with my Aputure Amaran T4C lights and it's rock-solid. I bought a second one for my second light as I find myself using it all the time! Solid product.

Overall the build quality is decent but the leg extensions are plastic instead of metal, which of course reduces the weight limit of what you can mount on it. Granted it also reduces the weight of the tripod a little but I'd rather have more holding power. At this price, it should be all metal.

I recently bought the Insta360 X4 and the 3m extended selfie stick. I only have a couple of mini tripods and all of them don’t extend long enough to keep the stick balanced when extended and if there’s slight wind. I thought about getting a 500g counterweight to add to those mini tripods but I saw this tripod and wanted to see if it’ll make my monopod more stable without it first. I can confirm it does make the 3m stick more stable when fully extended. The counterweight cost a little more than this tripod, so getting this saved money. I still may get the counterweight because I like collecting gear but I will fight my impulses and be happy with this purchase. It does the job well!

I was skeptical but this tripod is solid! I have used this for work and I have attached a flexible weight for extra security. This is the best I have found considering the weight and travel aspects.

I love thing thing, very stable. I love the twist locking legs. I use the tripod with a ball head. Great for placing on uneven surfaces, especially useful if you have a remote trigger for your camera. Some people may think it’s bulky but I think it has the perfect dimensions!

I use this tripod to create content for my youtube channel and it works great. It is very sturdy and I am not worried about it breaking. It has been taken on various trips outdoors and no signs of wear at all. Highly recommend!

I combined this with a beefy carbon fiber monopod to become my travel light stand. I replaced the central 1/4-20 bolt by a longer one (1.5") to provide a solid connection to the (19 mm minimum section diameter) carbon fiber monopod, and now have an ultra-compact travel light stand that is stable, and that will not snap with wind load on my travel soft box.
