Oscillators
The multi/poly offers FOUR oscillators per Program, for unusually thick, complex tones. Each can use the Classic, Digital, or Waveshaper oscillator types.

All of the multi/poly's filters are newly redesigned, including an amazing suite of vintage filters with authentic euphonic saturation.

Layer Rotate
The multi/poly has four Layers, each of which contains a Program. Naturally, these can create layered sounds, velocity splits, and keyboard splits.

Set Lists and Smooth Sound Transitions
Set Lists offer effortless organization of your multi/poly Performances, and deliver instant access at the gig or in rehearsal. Smooth Sound Transitions allow previously-played voices and effects to continue to ring out naturally, even once a new sound has been selected.
Connections
Balanced stereo outputs connect to any recording or monitoring system, while a stereo headphone output is ideal for private playing or onstage cueing. DIN-style MIDI jacks facilitate connections to other MIDI devices, and USB supports class-compliant MIDI for Windows and macOS.
Motion Sequencing 2.0
Motion Sequencing 2.0 evolved from the wavestate’s Wave Sequencing 2.0. Timing, Pitch, Shape, and four sets of Step Sequence values are separated into “Lanes,” each with their own loop start and loop end, adding a deeper, more customizable level of phrase and modulation recording.
Production-Ready Effects
The multi/poly offers production-ready effects, with three per Layer, plus a master reverb and EQ. It includes standard effects like compressors and delays, unique processors like Wave Shaper, and modeled effects such as VOX guitar amps and classic pedals.
Randomization that inspires
For more inspiration, the front-panel "dice" button generates new sounds through intelligent randomization, allowing you to randomize the entire sound or just parts like oscillators, filters, or effects, which you can use directly or as a starting point for your own creations.

This synth is perfect for my needs. First, almost all the presets are musically interesting, so I can get a ton of enjoyment from just playing the presets.The fact that so many features are accessible via a knob-per-function makes tweaking and evolving sounds so much easier. For the places that require menu diving, the screen is nicely high contrast , which makes it eminently readable.The full-sized keys are great. I prefer 3 octaves of these keys over 4 octaves of minikeys anytime.The kaos pad is a fun addition to allow semi-random evolving of the sounds, another fun feature that adds depth to every sample.Finally, the inclusion of a giant "man bag" for carrying the synth around is a nice touch. I'm not sure I'll actually be wandering around with it, but it does make fora good storage option.I suppose if i had to complain, the obvious lack of after touch on the keyboard would be a minor issue.
