We live in the country, so I wanted a thicker tarp to put under our 18 ft., Bestway pool. This works perfectly! The quality and thickness was much better than I expected!! It is thick enough to protect the pool and our feet from any stickers, small rocks, etc. I ordered the silver, heavy duty-10 ml, 20-foot tarp (19.6 x 19.4 finished size), which allows enough room to place the pump on one side and the ladder near the corner on the opposite side. In addition, it left plenty of room to stand barefoot with our children and leave our shoes near the ladder. (I had planned to put a small tarp near the ladder, so we would have plenty of room to stand and dry off, but it hasn't been necessary.) I used 8 metal stakes to hold the edges down, since the wind whips a bit here at times, and I wanted to keep the the edges down, so we could protect our bare feet! There are many more metal grommets available, however, on each side, if needed for tie-down, stakes, etc. I ordered the “Used-like new,†(the packaging had been damaged), since it was much cheaper. The tarp itself had never been unfolded and was in perfect condition!! (Thanks Amazon!) I highly recommend this tarp. It’s much nicer and thicker than others I’ve used. It would also be great for covering items, camping, etc. I will purchase one of these, again, whenever I need a good, strong tarp.UPDATE: We used this tarp for an entire season, which ended around the end of October! I did use simple stakes on the corners and one stake in the middle of each side, because of the size of the tarp and our country wind! I swept the tarp with a regular broom, when needed, and it worked well. The only issue we had was when the lawn mower got a little too close to one edge! Oops! However, after 2-3 more months of use, after the incident, the tear NEVER increased in size! I plan to use the tarp again next year and will buy another, when needed!!

All right, so listen up cause I'm gonna tell ya about this wicked good tarp from Kotap. Now, I ain't no expert on tarps or nothin', but let me tell ya, this one is the real deal.First off, this tarp is heavy-duty, ya know what I mean? It's made with a superior weave that makes it extra strong and durable. It's 8-mil thick, so you know it's gonna last ya a good long while. And let me tell ya, this tarp is waterproof, so it's gonna keep all your stuff nice and dry, no matter what kind of crazy weather comes your way. Now, I don't know about you, but I like a tarp that's versatile. And this one from Kotap is just that. You can use it for all sorts of things – covering up your boat, protecting your firewood, or even building a makeshift shelter in case of, you know, the end of the world or something. And let me tell ya, this tarp is big – 8 x 20 feet big, to be exact. So you're gonna have plenty of coverage for whatever you need to protect. Plus, it comes in a nice, clean white color that'll look real sharp no matter where you use it.So there ya have it, folks. If you're lookin' for a top-notch tarp that's gonna stand up to whatever Mother Nature throws at ya, then this one from Kotap is the way to go. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

I bought the 10 x 20 16 mil tarp with the hopes that it would last for my move across the state. I converted my car hauler to a cargo hauler and used this tarp to keep things dry. I am a retired truck driver with lots of flatbed experience so I was sure that this tarp is not transport quality when I received it, but it looked tough enough for my job.I attached the leading edge with lag screws, tucked in the front corners and used lag screws there also. I put 2x2 ribs every four feet across the top to keep it from sagging too much should it rain and to stabilize the sides. I also added padding on the corners to keep stresses to the tarp from sharp edges to minimum. I have pulled the trailer 1500 miles so far with no problems. I had to put the strap across the top to keep it from ballooning at highway speeds at first in the front and then in the rear also. The grommets are reasonably strong, but they can be over stressed with aggressive tightening. I learned quickly that snug is good enough and I've never had a problem with the tarp wanting to blow away, I have hauled it three times over the passes, twice in rain with no leaks, so I am happy. The only negative is that when parked loaded a heavy rain storm went through and dumped about an inch of rain. This resulted in a large pool in the tarp at the back of the trailer that I had to bail out. It stretched the tarp in that section so that it wants to balloon there also, but it did not leak.I one more 200 mile trip and I will be through with this trailer configuration and the tarp will go into storage or to cover hay, I believe that I could have hauled the trailer as pictured to Florida with no problemsI had expected to get 2 trips out of the tarp and was prepared to buy another, I am well pleased that one tarp did it all. It was a good value for me.UPDATE 10-20-21: I have finished all of my hauls across the state. The trailer and tarp as pictured have close to 3000 miles on them. The tarp never leaked and all our stuff stayed dry. There were a couple of minor stress points in the tarp where at the corners and the edges. One hole wore into the tarp from a piece of protruding hardware, but nothing on the top, The tarp did stretch a little from heavy rains but I am well pleased over all.

Arrived on time, and I installed it over a portable garage that was coming apart. Installed fall of 2024 in upstate NY. We just had a storm of 65" of snow and it seems to be holding up quite nicely.

Tarp was packaged nice, easy to unroll and heavy gauge, fit over my camper nicely, I had a camper cover but it was cheaply made and ripped the first wind we had.

I've had this tarp for a year to cover my boat. green side out in the winter, silver side out in the summer. after a year of use it is no longer waterproof, the filaments are breaking out and the silver coating gives off a fine silver dust that can't be good to breathe when I take it off.

I used this tarp during the winter in southwestern Ontario to cover a boat, and during the summer to cover my pool. It sat in chlorinated water for half the year, while being exposed the other half covering the boat. I bought it in 2020, it's now 2024 and I'm considering replacing it but only because of some visible pinholes of light through the grey side. Highly recommend this tarp, well made and surprisingly durable. Just use ball bungies at every grommet as a relief and to prevent flapping and it will last. Holds up several inches of snow if secured properly with steep enough slope.
