Was able to find just what I was looking for with great and clear instructions for installation. The replacement unit was pretty much identical to the broken unit being replaced but so much more simple to install. So glad I can avoid using the big box stores - even if I do get a 10% military discount on all products I buy there...

This single stage controller is very well made. My old controller was over 20-yrs old ( Model 1120). I don't think they make them anymore. The pins reached the point where they would not pull out so I couldn't set the desired watering schedule. This model is well made and designed so that connecting power to it was very straight forward! I took my time and had the box mounted and power connected in less than 2-hrs.22 April 2017 - This is the second one I've purchased of the same model and the timer on this one also runs too fast. Overnight, it has gained 20-minutes. Hard to keep an accurate watering schedule. Danger of turning on sprinklers while kids are waiting for their school bus. As I mentioned above, the original model was a 1120, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Both the 1120 and this model (2120) are rated for 220-volts. Multimeter indicates a supply voltage of 248-volts in. Wish I could solve this problem.30 April 2017 - Problem solved! I used a Orbit "Easy Set Logic - 4-Station" Timer with an Orbit "Pump Start Relay." Had to go this route because my system uses an Indexing Valve instead of a pump manifold. Total cost: $78.00

This timer was installed 20 years ago when my home and pool was built. After working 2 times daily for that long, it finally broke. I decided that anything that worked that well for so long, I would be nuts to not replace it with the same thing. It's a no brainer. I put it in in about 15 minutes and turned on the power. It will be out there running for another 20 years.

This item appears to have been installed, or started installation. I refuse to try to use it. My timer has the wires coming in the back, and only one wire coming out the bottom of the controller this unit has 2 cable holes punched out the bottom. Would allow moisture to enter.
