I was initially disappointed that I had to purchase so many, I just needed to shim up one machine in the shop. But they've really come in handy for so many applications where I need a precise adjustment. True to the thickness it claims

The description says 4"x10". And it says there are 6 pieces, 4 sizes.There were actually 6 pieces EACH of 4 sizes. However, they were not even close to 4"x10"There were actually 4 pieces each in the 6 packets in the order. Each of the 6 packets had 1 each .001, .002 and .003 that were 3"x6" each. Then the .005 piece was was 4"x4".If I am doing the math right, the descriptions says 6 pieces at 10"x4" which would be 240 sq in.The actual pieces shipped adds up to 420 sq in.So, amount of brass shim stock is almost double what they said. But, the pieces are much smaller dimensions than they say in the description.So, if you need a sheet of shim stock 10" long, don't buy this.But if you need sheets to cut small pieces off for lathe jaw, this is a good deal.Since I did not need larger pieces, I am happy with the order.

Nice assortment and looks like good quality. Haven't measured them but they appear to be pretty close. Maybe perfect? I would definitely recommend them.
