The KTK-15 is commonly used in control circuits, lighting circuit protection, and meter circuits. The KTK-15 is constructed from nickel-plated endcaps and melamine tube. The electrical ratings for this fuse are 15 Amps, 600 Vac, and a max interrupting rating of 100 kA, 600Vac. A common part number for this fuse is 892583. The fuse is typically installed in a properly rated electrical fuse block and is cylindrical with dimensions of 1.5 in X 0.41 in and a weight of 0.18 lb. The packaging contains two KTK-15 fuses.

This fuse worked to restore my Ole Faithful Fluke 77 that is like 20 yrs old and I use it regularly as a diesel technician. When in class a few weeks ago, our instructor had to replace the fuse on his Snap-on DVOM using same type of fuse to continue with class.

I needed to replace an open fuse in my Fluke DMM to pass calibration standards.The correct size fuse was unattainable at local home/hardware stores. The manufacturer was out of stock and expensive.I was able to find this fuse and finish the meters calibration and get it certified.
