I do a lot of fishing by myself and trying to gaff a fish in rough water gets very difficult. I’ve caught several mahi-mahi with this tool and I love it. Only thing is that you have to go all the way through the fish or it will pull out. Bought another one for a friend and a spare one for me. I have a small boat so this fits perfect for my style of fishing.

This is not at all a quality product had a really nice fish with the point in the fish the cheap crimp popped on the point end, I WANT A REFUND

This was needed to land this 260 lb halibut in the summer of 2016. However, the quality is marginal and I can tell it won't last very long. I ordered it because it was fulfilled by Amazon, and I needed now. Next year I will be bringing a more durable option. The dart has an oversized thimble, and it's begging to fall out. Best to purchase the right size and re crimp it.For the occasional sport fisherman, it's a fine tool. For a charter guy, I wouldn't trust it on a client's fish of a lifetime
