My Oxo peeler was my go-to standard because it has an ergonomic handle that makes it easy to hold. I've owned lots of peelers in my lifetime, and it cut as well as any other. I just assumed that peeling anything was one of those chores that one had to go through to get to the fun part of cooking. Then I met the Piranha, which I ordered after reading a review in one of my cooking magazines.Wow! That was my first reaction. The only thing that would make this better is if the peeler did the job without me. It shaves cheese and chocolate and strips the peel off fruits and vegetables (including squash) with ease and very little effort. I now realize the problem with every other peeler I've had is that they're just not sharp enough, requiring much more force than necessary.Oh, and I did worry about the handle, which is much narrower than my Oxo's. I've cooked (and baked) professionally, and ended up with a bit of arthritis, so a larger handle always made sense. But this works beautifully, precisely because it requires so little force to use it. Yes, I'm now in peeling/paring heaven and I'll never go back! I also purchased this for family members and they're just as happy as I am. And the colors are vibrant and fun.

I love this peeler. It's nice & sharp. I can peel thin skinned eggplant and butternut squash with ease, both of which cannot be peeled with a standard peeler.

Best Y type peeler. This is identical to my other one, which is still sharp after several years so this new one won’t need to be used for a while!

I have had a simple vegetable peeler, the same one, for probably over 25 years, and it's still going strong. I truly did not think I could find another one I would like, since I've already thrown away or given away so many over the years that did NOT do a good job, or were hard to use. But this one is simply fantastic. I had seen some great reviews on other sites about it, but really did not believe them. But they were absolutely correct...this one is so easy to hold, easy to use, and makes peeling carrots, apples and potatoes so easy to do. I highly recommend this peeler!

Wanted to replace a Kuhn Rikon peeler that broke after several years. Pretty happy with this so far. Blade is sharp and grip is fine. Only concern is sturdiness. I may try one of the heavier OXO brand peelers next time.

Bought several months ago to replace a ceramic y shape that I had used for 20 years or so.I pealed all sorts of produce and loved the ease and speed. I have since bought several more as gifts for family members (I box them up with a potato, a carrot and a lemon so that they can check it out immediately

Kuhn Rikon is my absolute favorite brand for kitchen utensils. I've been buying from this brand for many years. Never disappoints. Very sharp blades and clean cut every time. I have many of their items in my kitchen. Extremely recommended.

This peeler is so sharp it makes peeling potatoes a breeze. The peel comes off in thin strips , no good waste, or repeated passes necessary. I was bragging to my sister how good this peeler was and she said she has had one for years and it is still sharp. She was delighted to see this brand now available on Amazon.I have ordered the swivel variety today as i find it more user friendly and is easier to peel away from my hand rather Han towards. Based on my sisters years of use with no dulling I will never buy another brand.
