I was fully aware he was smaller, hence him being an ornament. Even though he's small, he's very well made. He's got weight to him. Anyone who has gotten a bigger kurt alder nutcracker, knows they can be pricy but totally worth it. So finding a smaller, cheaper version that is just as well made is great to me.

I don't know why but I thought this was a normal sized nutcracker but its an ornament it is the perfect size for an ornament and my father really enjoyed it it is detailed and not cheap feeling I for sure reccomend.

First of all, the description reads 6". Before you buy and expect that.... Scroll all the way to the bottom where you will see package dimensions of 5x2x1.5, roughly. Can't fit a 6" object in a 5" box unless it's flexible! Secondly, for over $13, I would have at least expected it to actually be 6". I would have been more content paying $7 or $8 for this. However it DOES NOT excuse the fact that this photo shows the condition in which I received one of the two I ordered! They were both thrown in a bag with a larger box of a separate item. No packaging on these smaller nutcracker ornaments at all. Not even wrapped in bubble wrap and taped which would have helped. I give one star for it accurately being a St Patrick's day decoration and one star for the one item I received undamaged. Again...... They are not 6", or they need to include that the ornament string is included in that overall length, in which case makes mine 7-1/2? I loved all my Kurt Adler nut crackers... But definitely disappointed with these.
