I like the size of the hook, and they are strong enough for what I am doing (organizing A/V cables) but just be aware that the included screws will not work if you are mounting directly to studs - the heads will twist right off. They are probably OK if you are using the plastic anchors in drywall.

I bought these hooks to replace shaker peg racks inside my closet. The hooks are very sturdy. Perfect for hanging jackets and scarves.

i can confirm that these hooks can be used for hanging and that they are large and made of metal. i put them in a closet to hand a bunch of junk.

The hooks themselves are decent quality. They seem sturdy enough. They come with a mounting kit consisting of some plastic hollow wall anchors and Philips head screws. The mounting kit is the weak point.Using a regular cordless screwdriver, I attempted to drive the mounting screws directly into 2x4 studs in my garage. Most of the heads simply snapped off when the screw started encountering resistance and some torque was applied. Wound up using other screws to mount the hooks.I learned years ago to never use plastic hollow wall anchors in drywall. They simply don't hold. I'd imagine the screws that come with the kit would probably be OK screwing directly into a soft, plastic hollow wall anchor. But being the heads snapped off so easily, you have to wonder about the shear strength of this el cheapo deluxe metal the screws are made of.Hooks of this size, I wouldn't normally put more than 15-20 pounds on them. With the screws they come with, I'd cut that to 5 pounds, assuming you can even get the screw fully driven before the head snaps off. I have several of these hooks mounted directly to studs with other screws, and in drywall with metal, screw-in hollow wall anchors and the screws that come with those hollow wall anchors. Have all kinds of heavy extension cords and air hoses on them. The hooks are sturdy, but do not count on the mounting hardware that comes with them. Assume you'll have to figure out your own solution.
