Haven't used it much installed - my comments refer only to the installation process. I was unable to make this strut fit in the strut housing without modification because the body is too long. A proper fit in the strut housing required taking an angle grinder to the flange end/foot on the bottom of the cartridge - shortening the unit. Sprayed a quick coat of black paint on it to prevent corrosion, and it fit perfectly.This product works fine, but be aware that it may not be a straightforward installation, or at least it wasn't on my 1986 MR2
