USPS wanted $40 to replace our sticking lock. Direct replacement easy to swap just needed simple tools to replace. Bonus this lock came with 3 keys and I didn’t need to go to the post office to get my new keys. Big savings as a DIY. Hopefully it lasts in the elements, already been through below freezing temperatures, ice, snow and rain haven’t had any issues yet.

Lock is solid, the retaining clip however was a little weak, so I used the old one. Excellent quality for the price.This was my second as the first was the wrong type.

This is a very specific lock, very hard to find. These are the new type of logs that are used on the new mailboxes. They usually don’t sell them in your hardware store. So when I found it, I was really happy for a solution. Unfortunately, it didn’t even last one day. It snapped off when I was installing it.I can’t return it because it outside the return period. It takes a long time for the mailman to give you access to change your own lock.
