LABLPSAI's Lab Sieve is extremely well made and a pleasure to use, truly a commercial quality product available for home use.It always fascinates me how a well designed and solidly fabricated tool can make the task easier. That's clearly the case with this sieve. I'm using the #50 mesh version to separate the bran/germ from home milled flour. Unlike other sieves, the uniform mesh is flat and continuous to the edge, the stainless steel band is a sturdy gauge, and there are no sharp edges. If I wished to pass through more than one gauge, these products are designed to be stackable. In practice, it simply does what it's meant to do without "getting in its own way". No shaky screens, edge gaps, or flimsiness to slow things down. It's a pleasure to use and, despite its premium price point, easy to recommend.

I am impressed by the quality of this sieve. That is because I have other sieves of this type , and the quality of those other sieves is simply not in the same class as this one:>My other sieves are a lighter weight, lighter gauge steel , and each frame has a welded seam on the side.>This sieve is heavier gauge steel, and the frame on this sieve is seamless .(How do they do that?)>The sides on my older sieves are straight . I seat them inside a bowl to use them.>This sieve has a ridge around the base with an inset below, so that it can be seated firmly onto the rim of abowl or small bucket of the same diameter. My other sieves, that I bought perhaps 15 years ago ,and paid what seemed like a lot of money for them at a that time ($25-$30 each), were bonsai tools, meant for sifting soil , and came directly from Japan.I use sieves for more than soil . I use them to separate tumbled beads and stones from the tumbling matrix. I use them to separate mealworms from their bedding matrix , and to sift the frass from the bedding .I ordered this sieve because I needed one with a slightly larger screen. This beautiful sieve is in class by itself.

(See ratings explanation below the review)I got the 500 mesh. This is so fine it appears to be a solid bottom until you hold it up and realize that you can see through it! I originally got it to wash air gun pellets but realized the mesh was too fine (so I got a different one...) But this will strain brake fluid, auto transmission fluid, etc. and take out the tiniest debris. Expensive but the quality is apparent. My ratings system:5 stars...... I'm blown away by quality & value... a must buy! (I rarely give this)4 stars..... Pleasantly surprised, better than expected3 stars..... as advertised, got what I expected, any pros/cons balanced2 stars..... a little disappointed, I had hoped for better1 star ..... avoid, waste of time and money, junk (I rarely give this)

I bought this to make large batches of coffee and sweet tea. This lets me filter the final product as it goes in the stainless steel kegs. It fits perfectly on top of my 8" funnel. The construction is great. It seems to be sealed all around the edge in the crimp. I haven't had any bypass issues. After a few days of brewing coffe, the oils from the coffee build up, I just boil it in RO water for 15 minutes and then soap it up and rinse it off with the sprayer in the sink. This cleans it out real nice.

This mesh sieve from LABLPSAI is exactly what I needed for filtering impurities from my product. I appreciate that the 8" diameter ring fits seamlessly into other sieves with lower or higher mesh counts. I selected the 325 mesh, and it is impeccably crafted. I can detect no flaws in the screens, and it has functioned exactly as intended. The high-quality product is well worth the price.

US #30 soil sieves are the standard for separating out stream insects and other organisms (macroinvertebrates) from things that can pass through the sieve (microinvertebrates) when doing stream water quality assessments. I'm used to brass sieves, but this stainless steel one looks great and should be very useable. I wish it was a true #30, but 34 is close enough for teaching, but definitely not for government work. Handles carefully, brass sieves last forever and I suspect this one will too, although I'll be more careful about drying it out after use.

This is a very good quality and accurate sifter for many applications in my laboratory at least. It’s easy to clean and to make sure that your data is accurate and not contaminated by the previous materials tested. I use them for soil samples and for pharmaceuticals. It is essential and it’s great that it’s a durable well made sifter for accuracy but also if it’s used a lot. Very satisfyed with this product.
