I tried pushing plain water through one of these and boy was it a task. They do the job but you gotta be patient.

These filters fit the syringe nicely. Would buy again.

I recently received the LABALPHA Syringe Filters PTFE 100 Pack for our laboratory's filtering needs, and I'm extremely impressed with the product! The 25mm 0.45μm pore size filters are perfect for our applications, and the hydrophobic PTFE material ensures efficient and reliable filtration. The quality of the filters is top-notch, with no signs of leakage or contamination. The packaging is also well-designed, making it easy to store and access the filters as needed. What I love most about this product is the value - 100 filters for a very reasonable price! This has been a game-changer for our lab, as we can now process samples more efficiently and cost-effectively.Some of the things I like most about this product are:- High-quality PTFE material for efficient filtration- Perfect pore size for our applications- Excellent packaging and storage design- Unbeatable value for the priceOverall, I highly recommend the LABALPHA Syringe Filters to any laboratory or researcher looking for reliable and cost-effective filtering solutions. You won't be disappointed!

Nice little filters. They do decrease the flow-rate pretty drastically, but they do a great job of keeping the wrong stuff from getting through.

These worked fine. The luer lock threaded on fine and fit tightly. Although I did not try it without the lock side, because what I was testing this on is sort of thick. It would require a lot of pressure to push through, and would surely fly off the syringe. I did a few simple tests for demonstration. Picture one was an attempt to draw the liquid in the wrong direction. I put a bit placed in a way to hold the vacuum. Over maybe 40 minutes, it did not pull in any liquid. It seemed truly hydrophobic. Picture two and three are chemical tests. Picture two was treated before being filtered. One can see a clear orangish color, on the left, and a faint violet color in the right vial. This test is to determine the presence of protein. This test is with a bacterial culture that has a known size of around a half of a micron or more. I can say it did filter out these bacteria. If one looks at picture three, no indication of bacterial proteins in the vials. Fair working item, I hope this helps.

As others have said, these filters work really well. The 13mm diameter makes them great for small batch filtering as the smaller surface area minimizes losses. I have made the rookie mistake in the past ordering 33mm filters. These are absolutely perfect for 1ml-10ml filtering.Keep in mind that they are non-sterile, so they shouldn't be used in filtering compounds that need to be sterile. Overall really nice for getting the job done and filtering out particles larger than 0.45 microns.

These filters are exactly what I needed to overcome issues with lipid nanoparticle filtration. I kept troubleshooting PES and PVDF filters, and kept losing so much product from hydrophobic interactions and aggregation. These PTFE (Teflon) filters were able to easily extrude my lipid-heavy material with minimal yield loss. The smaller filter diameter also helps this by reducing the headspace volume. It is worth noting that these are non-sterile filters, and they cannot be autoclaved. However, if you have access to EtO, then this could work for sterile procedures as well. Overall very happy with these filters!

I just started using these for spawning mushroom jars and they are working perfectly for the air vents.
