I was pretty impressed with how smooth these metal ring supports were all around their structure. They performed very nicely for the project for which they were needed and would have no problem recommending them to others.

I am definitely happy with how solid the ring is.

These welded stainless steel rings (and also the unwelded steel rings advertised on Amazon elsewhere) are made in China and have standard Metric sizes of 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, and 160 mm OUTER DIAMETER (OD). The rings are formed and welded by machine and the actual OD is typically within 1 mm of the specified OD. I bought the 140 mm ring and it was 141 mm OD.These welded stainless steel rings have a rod diameter of 6 mm, so the ID of the ring is about 12 mm less than the OD. The unwelded steel rings have a rod diameter of 7.5 mm, so the ID of those rings is about 15 mm less than the OD. Either type of ring is strong enough for most laboratory purposes, including holding a retort over a burner.
