The Air Grip soles are the best for slippery conditions around the farm. They are the warmest boots I've ever worn.

A friend recommended these boots. He wears them every day because he’s the head of the grounds at the Houston Arboretum. My son needed this type of boot for a trip he’s taking to the Platt river in Nebraska. He liked the fact that they’re waterproof and he preferred the height over other boots he tried.

I previously owned a pair of lacrosse 'alpha' boots... which I wore A LOT and owned for 3 years, but seem to be no longer available. I bought these burly air grips as a replacement when the heel cracked open on the alphas.right off the bat I was a little disappointed because the fit on these is not as snug and secure as the alphas were - I think mostly because the alphas were all neoprene foam, which doesn't give as much as whatever it is that the burly air grips have. result being that the air grips feel like my heel lifts and rubs more than I like. I used to go on walks and short hikes in the alphas, I don't think I'll take these - they're heavier and the fit isn't 'shoe-like' enough.also, these have a fairly tall, small, and hard heel on them. probably good, considering the failure of the softer heel in the alphas I had, but takes some getting used to. they don't feel quite as stable on rocky ground.on the upside, the whole sole assembly is much sturdier than the alphas were and seem likely to stand up to things like stepping on shovels etc. they even have a reinforcing strap in the instep just for that kind of thing. and the plus of the looser fit is they're easier to get on and off when caked in mud.overall... I don't yet like them as much as the alphas but we'll see. they're growing on me.

I recently purchased these boots after returning a pair of the Alpha Burly Pros. The Pros were simply to large and clunky. They were difficult to walk in and felt unnatural. These boots however have been amazing. They seem to be constructed very well and have a small amount of insulation, which when combined with wool socks provide me with just the right amount of heat. After walking around all day there was minimal moisture and my feet stayed warm, even while tromping through several inches of mud and snow. They also provide a great amount of flex while squatting down without any unfortable pinching. So far I’ve only used these for shooting trap at a local spot and walking around our property, but I have no doubt they would perform well for upland bird hunting (which I intend to test later this year).Several of my friends have commented on them and were impressed by the build quality(concrete and construction workers who go through boots on a regular basis).I normally wear a size 13, however I ordered these in a 12, which fits perfectly. I’d say they’re about a half size smaller than a normal shoe.Stylistically I think they set themselves apart. They have an old world charm compared to most modern muck boots. I know this isn’t all that important, but to some it might be.If they hold up well I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another pair.

Super comfortable to wear all day long. Great on long portages. My go to boots for early spring, ice out and late fall Quetico trips. SOle and grip never fails even on slippery/slimy rocks. Easy to roll down to vent or when letting dry out over night. When filled with water and wet, jusr remove the insole and boot and insole dry out quick and thorough. No hot or tight sports. They last a looooong time. I tired other rubber boots over the years but these are it. I absolutely love them. Great for waterfowl hunting and light garden/farm work as well. Highly recommend to anyone venturing into the BWCA and Quetico areas. They will not leak and you will keep your feet protected.

Review for Lacrosse Burley 18†Boots. The fit is true, the boots are so well-made with unbeatable sole traction. Indeed, they’re made to last for decades. Easy fit, no wear in time needed. Just put them on & go all day. Lacrosse are one of the best rubber boots made - these will not disappoint. Good, comparable price & speedy delivery. If you’re thinking about Lacrosse & another brand, choose Lacrosse. They last forever & are hardy, well-constructed, very comfortable boots.

After having soaking wet feet while hunting moose last fall I decided I would finally invest in a good pair of rubber hunting boots. I bought these after reading many reviews.I have big calves and all of the reviews |i read said that these would fit properly. I have been wearing them to hunt this fall. So far I have worn them for 10 days of hunting in the Northern Saskatchewan Forest. We had an early snow here this year and in places the snow is up to my knees right now. The temperatures have only been minus 8. I have spent time sitting in a deer blind as well as walking in we swampy bog as well as tangled blow down while moose hunting. These boots are comfortable and plenty warm with a good sock. I wear layers - long underwear, heavy wool hunting pants, and heavy wool socks. I have big calves. All layers fit comfortably tucked into these boots. I have also found that they breath well

Boots are great, fit like a glove, very comfortable. The aggressive sole is just what I needed for all terrain use.

I have huge feet and massive calves. These boots fit amazing well. I use them when panning for gold. Remain very comfortable over the course of a day walking on river rock. Highly recommend.

1/2 Size Would have been Perfect. Take 9 1/2 but had to get a 10. Feel to big with thin sock but a bit better with thicker sock. With provide an update after summer boating and fishing.
