I ordered this to replace the missing cross arm on my lamp post. Unfortunately my lamp post is old and had a much larger hole (1â€) than the ones manufactured today. Standard currently is 3/4†which is the same standard for the cross arms sold today. I went to the electrical section of a home improvement store and found an o-ring with a groove and put that in the hole. It worked perfectly and the cross arm fits snug now. I really liked the weight of this cross arm compared to others I’ve looked at. It definitely isn’t flimsy! The color matched my pole pretty well. I ordered the smaller of the two lengths. Overall I’m satisfied with this item and would order it again.

How do you review a long straight piece of metal? Does exactly what it claims to do. I like that the knobs on the end are also heavy duty and screw in. The last one we had, had plastic knobs that just slipped over the edges and those cracked and fell off in the weather.

These are good value. I like the ends are threaded on to the bar, much better quality then the ones that just have slip on ball ends.

Bar seems to be well made, but the length is not 16 inches. It's very deceptive. Too short, no pun intended.

This was my second attempt at getting a bar for my outdoor light. The great thing about this one is that the balls screw on. The bar is fairly sturdy so you could put a plant or flag on it.
