Metal spikes worked perfectly in my project. Used in hard rocky ground. Used hammer. Worked great. Should last long time. Spikes did not bend. Seem to be a good quality.

I needed some really long nails to make a wine bottle sculpture, and these fit the bill. They were long enough to pound in a bit and still have enough left over to insert the wine bottle and support it.

They're 10" long steel spikes. I had a different use than landscaping, but they worked fine and the price was right. If they rust or melt or something, I will update my review.

Planned to use on Home Depot ProFlex Paver Edging since brand spikes are OOS. These could work though are smaller diameter than holes in ProFlex for a snug fit. Using galvanized (but rough texture) individual 10" x 3/8" spikes from Lowe's - snug fit, possibly use some ProFlex 8" nylon twist spikes if not enough of 10".

Why do all the landscape edgings (heavy ones) come with plastic stakes? The stakes hit something and don't go all the way in, etc. These fit my landscape edging nicely, go in well with a hammer, and are longer and much more secure!

I used these for paver edging and they work great. I didn't have quite enough and ended up using a few plastic stakes. Boy what a difference ... the plastic stakes just don't work as well. I will definitely use these for my next paver project! I'm not concerned about rust since that just helps them hold into the ground better!
