I am planning on going to Europe next year, so when I saw this device, I thought it would be just perfect for my needs. Could I just use a translator app on my phone? Sure, but then I'd be constantly draining the battery. It hasn't gotten much use yet, but I have been playing with it and trying out several of its features. I find it handy that it comes with several languages already preloaded, but also helpful that you can download others. I like the fact that you can use it offline, as long as the language has already been downloaded. Speaking of adding new languages, you will need to add a micro-sd card in order to save them to this device. When practicing, I decided to try Spanish first since I know a bit of it, to see how well it worked. Did it translate everything perfectly? No, but most of it was pretty accurate. Plus, I feel like if you're in a foreign country and making an attempt to speak or understand the language, the locals appreciate it, and they can probably at least figure out the gist of what you're trying to say. I can't wait to fully test this out on my trip.

While trying to translate spanish offline. This product either replied "It looks like you didn't say anything" or didn't translate what I did say properly. It would be something completely different. It was a complete waste of time and money. I don't know if I received a defective product or if the product itself is a problem. I returned it for a refund!

Pros:-Offline translation-Battery life-Reasonable interface-Size (pretty small, easy to keep on you)-Screen is pretty crisp for the purpose-Includes Bluetooth connectivityCons:-No included SD card-Requires internet to set things up initially-Requires internet to grab additional language packsIn short, I have tested this a little with 3 languages (excluding English); Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese. From what I gather (from the native speakers), is that this seems to work fairly well. No one complained about the translations being bad or incorrect. The interface is pretty straight forward, and the battery life seems reasonable. I like the size (fits in my shirt pocket fine) so I can keep it on me when I think it might be needed. The only thing that got me (and this is probably common to all such devices) is that if you are caught without the right language pack and don't have internet access, it cannot help you. This actually happened to me - was using it for Spanish translation at a job site and I didn't realize some folks were native Portuguese speakers. So, I couldn't translate direct - had to have someone else in the loop, or fake it with broken English and even more broken Portuguese. An included SD card big enough for basically all the language packs would help here, so I will be picking one up to save me from this in the future.Really want to give it 4.5 stars here.

This little translator was a godsend for me as I live in Miami and I am not fluent in spanish. Been here my entire life. I can speak enough to get by but sometimes you want to get "across" if you know what I mean. Worked just fine- was impressed by its competency however one day power button stopped working. Other than that works fine. I was one week past the return window so I contacted the company directly and they basically did nothing for me which I think is poor business. I was not asking for money back I was only asking for a replacement. I can't use it because I can't turn it on unless I plug it into a power cable and then it is operable. I think any company would have to be nuts not to exchange a defective item after 5 weeks regardless of when return window is closed. GOOD BUSSINESS DOESENT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE. They're only response was "keep checking price item goes on for sale quite often". I say "poor business ethics" 👎Will have to save up for another one. Even if it's a bit more 🥴

I work in the health field, and I am NOT bilingual. I can understand some Spanish, but definitely not well enough to carry on a conversation.This translator is exactly what I wanted. You can carry on a 2 way conversation in real time - and according to my bilingual friends, it is very accurate.This is a big help in my job.The Spanish language on this also has variations of Spanish too, because like English, there are different versions of the languages.I don't know about all the other languages on this, but this translator was also used for a few Korean and Phillipino patients.You don't need WiFi connection, another big plus for this.This translator was a great investment for me, it has helped me function more efficiently not having to wait for a translator in order for me to do my job!

Si vous l'utilisez sans wifi pour cuba... non sa vaut pas la peinne.. mais avec wifi il est super bon.. sans wifi il comprend pas les bon mots.. si quelqu'un parle vite.... horeur...
