Wanted a base to allow my computer monitor to swivel. So far the base seems sturdy and is working as expected. Seems to be well built. Swivel is very smooth and quiet. Would definitely recommend for this type of application.

I found this turntable helpful when I repair my typewriters. I’m not super keen that the rubber top piece is removable, but it is good to keep items stable on the turntable. The whole setup works well.

This 12 inch "heavy duty" swivel is the perfect size for my APEX 32" flat screen TV. The bottom stand of my flat screen TV is bigger than the 12" platform of the swivel and extend about 4" on either side, but the width of the stand fits perfectly on the swivel. This means that it is firmly seated on the swivel and is not at risk of falling off. And there was room to tuck the smaller cable control box between the TV and the base, which means that my cable box swivels along with the TV-- very cool. The flat black color of the swivel allows it to blend in with the electronic black color of the rest of the equipment, which makes me happy. The swivel itself doesn't appear "heavy duty" to me, but it is sufficient to hold the weight of my 32" flatscreen. It is made of lightweight plastic, but has enough well performing ball bearings that just a finger moves it where you want it to go.The swivel is so easily performed, that until I leveled the furniture it was on, it kept swinging back to the original position by the angle gravity alone.I am pleased with the performance and attractiveness of this product.

These items, while made of plastic, are strong and make turning even a very big TV a breeze!! I have the 12" LapWorks underneath my 46" TV and a 10" LapWorks that works with a 42" TV. Also, accessing the rear of TV's is a snap and without bending, moving and lifting or any struggle whatsoever (like I have always done before). When sitting in a room where there can be a lot of viewing angles, moving it to see a better picture is really really easy. We use it for our two TV's 46" and 42" and have another ready to be 'placed' under our 50" TV as soon as our downstairs is ready for a video set up. I would not hesitate to use it with a TV 55" or 60" either. One of the best things about this product is that I can readily rotate the TV when I want to exercise in my home (and have my TV face me while I do so) to listen to music channel or watch something to occupy me while doing some otherwise tedious physical routine. I can turn it back with the touch of a finger in its main viewing position. When I sometimes watch TV while laying on the couch or bed, I can turn the TV so there is no strain for my eyesight or neck whatsoever. Nice! The reason it gets a 4-star, rather 5-star is simply because LapWorks only seems to offer the circular design of this product. Every flat screen TV of any size I have owned over the past several years has a base that is generally rectangular in shape. LapWorks would do well to offer a rectangular version of this item! It would not prevent them from placing the rotating wheel underneath a rectangular platform. Right now, it looks weird to see the round edges sticking out (only a little bit, mind-you) from the rectangular bases I have. I have dark furniture for my TV units; otherwise, I do not know how it would look. I have seen square/rectangular rotating platforms for other consumer products/uses. They do offer a more expensive one for "big screen TVs" but it's more price and the smaller ones are just as good. They really need to make oblong/rectangular swivels in the smaller sizes also.I would not purchase the "big screen TV swivel"; as I think it's simply a marketing (more expensive) gimmick for using about the same amount of raw materials.Yet, if you want the ability to move your TV's with the touch of your finger, and don't want to go through the expense or effort in putting up a wall mounted unit, try this product. It is without any struggle and works.

I have a 55" TV that weighs about 65 lbs. or so. I wasn't ready to mount it on the wall yet, and have an open dining area/Livingroom and I like to watch TV while at the dining room table. This makes it effortless to turn the TV without any problem. I think it is much easier to tun it than if it was wall mounted. If I need to rearrange the furniture in the future, I can do that easily (except for having someone lift the TV). Very happy with my purchase.

I had been looking for a "lazy susan" type swivel base to hold my Instant Pot for a while now. I've looked at the attractive wooden ones as well as some made of marble. These just didn't seem like they would hold the weight of the pot evenly, so I kept putting off a purchase. When I saw this LapWorks swivel base, I thought the design was sturdier than the others. I used it the day it arrived and it really did make my life easier. I have to turn my Instant Pot around to release the steam when it finishes cooking, and this made it so much safer. I no longer have to lift a heavy pot full of hot food under pressure in order to direct the steam away from my cabinets. The swivel base allowed me to just turn it easily. It also is easy to move across my counter when I am finished. It may not be as "pretty" as the others, but with the Instant Pot on it, the base isn't visible anyway. I am really happy that I purchased this LapWorks base and would definitely recommend it to others for this purpose.

This works perfectly for letting me easily swivel my 17" JVC PVM that I use for retro gaming. In my current setup, the PVM sits to the left of my TV and needs to be angled toward me by about 20-30 degrees to better face my armchair. The PVM weighs a little over 40lbs and this product lets me swivel it smoothly and quietly. I think when I looked at the product listing, I thought the product would be thicker and heavier, and I was surprised by how thin and light it is. I was also really happy with the cost, as some of the first products that I considered (like lazy susans) were more expensive and couldn't support the weight of the PVM. I also looked into some DIY options that I could build, but most of them required enough time or a few tools that I didn't own that made this an easier solution. Not sure why I didn't start my search with "monitor swivel," but really glad that I found this product.

I bought this to use with my RestSoft point of sale system. It allows the 15" touch screen monitor to rotate very easily and is very stable.

This turntable is an excellent addition to my photogrammetry setup! The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is that the turntable has a fair amount of rolling resistance until I took it apart and greased all the bearings. I'm surprised it doesn't come lubricated from factory. In any case its perfect now!
