There is an on/off switch located on the bottom of the snow globe base for improved battery life. Shake to activate the red/green/blue LED lights. Batteries are included. The light stays active for one minute.
Two Sizes
The LED Light Up Photo Snow Globes come in a large and a mini size. Both sizes come with the option of a black or silver base. The large size holds two 2" x 2-7/8" photos and the mini holds two 1-5/8" x 3-15/16" photos.

It came put together with no instructions on how to detach it. No problem because there is a video available online to show you how to do it. I used the picture that was inserted in the globe to cut my original photo down to size. It will hold two pictures, but I only used one. The batteries were already installed. When I turned it on, it worked immediately. The recipients of the gifts were vey happy and impressed that it was unique.

This made a great gift; my only concern was that the dome is a bit squishy. I was expecting it to be firm plastic or glass. I was able to get my photos inserted and reassemble to globe without issue.

This is a nice big snow globe that is perfect for pictures you've captured with your cell phone. Not only is this a good way to display pictures that are less than perfect, it magnifies your photo, making a big impression. You can insert a 2" by 3" photo on both sides. When the snow globe is turned on, it cycles through an LED light display that automatically shuts off after about thirty seconds. Shaking the snow globe turned the light show back on. For all you folks too classy for that type of thing, the globe is perfectly enjoyable without using this feature.I was really surprised (in a good way) when I opened the box and found the globe was made of a slightly soft plastic, not rigid like other photo snow globes. It has just a little "give" to it, like a tetra pak, and that helps anyone handling the snow globe get a better grip on the ball. The snow flakes are big, white and plentiful enough to give a nice effect without obscuring the pictures.The one issue I had with the globe was getting the globe to "open" so I could put in our pictures without damaging the globe of water itself (Protip: don't try and do this on Christmas Eve after a long day of baking and gift wrapping.) I was so frazzled, I actually got a little screwdriver and unscrewed the plastic bottom of the globe and tried to open it up that way. I also maaaaay have snapped at my spouse a few times.Anyway, the process is a lot simpler than what I tried when I was full of holiday cheer-- Take a firm grip of the silver base in one hand and the globe in the other. Do not twist. Rock the globe back and forth. You'll hear a popping noise as you ease the globe off of the base. Wiggle the globe until it's free of the base and you'll be ready to put your photos in (the photo inside the globe makes a great template for cutting your own pictures out.)

I bought one of these snow globes and it was covered in a slime residue that I’m thinking is the liquid inside leaking. The entire globe was covered all the way into the base. So I returned it and have it replaced. The next one CAME THE SAME WAY??? Covered in the liquid that was leaking from the inside. I decided to take the loss and keep the second one. But BE WARNED I have TWO that came leaking.

It does light up but doesn't STAY lit. Goes off which is fine. You get the initial feel with the lighting then it goes out so it's not annoying.

This is a great gift. At first I was concerned about the globe part being plastic because there was a dent in it upon arrival and at first I couldn't get it to go away. Once the globe sat for a short while and warmed up (it was outside in the cold weather for about 1 hour) I was able to run the dent up to the very top of the globe and it went away. I gave 3 stars because the lights are a bit touchy and don't seem to want to always come on. The snow in the globe itself is pretty chunky not as dusty per say as the image above. Overall you get what you pay for with this one.

This is the first successful Amazon marketplace transaction I have completed. A couple of bad prior experiences left me hesitant to purchase from marketplace sellers.This item was shipped and arrived in a total of 6 days.As for the item itself, it is exactly what I was trying to find.It is very easy to place pictures inside (it is double sided) and you can change it at any time without unscrewing anything or having any concern of spilling liquid.

We like that the snow globe is not soooo Christmasy that we cannot leave it out year long. We wish the snow globe would stay on whenever turned on but seems to turn off after a certain period of time.

“Snow†was stuck to picture surface. Returned the item and was shocked to find out I had to pay to ship the product back despite the defect. BOO!Just found out how much shipping will be-not worth it
