The colonists carried this tradition to America and today you can add that touch of elegance and history to your own fireplace. Available in two sizes to fit both older traditional homes and newer construction. Firebacks are designed to rest on the floor of the hearth, but Fireback Supports may also be used to hold this fireback upright and raise it off the hearth if extra height is desired. All our firebacks are designed for use with both gas logs and wood burning fireplaces.

Gets very hot and holds heat in my fireplace for 12 hours. Nice classic look and a good value for the price. Heavy, sturdy, does it's job.

If you don't have one of these you need one. It reflects the heat off the back wall and we notice a huge difference in the amount of heat coming out. This is heavy which is an advantage I think.
